A festive makeup look + a simple sparkling diy

Buongiorno mie care e buon ultimo dell'anno!!

Un bacione e Buon 2016 a tutte!!!

Hello my dears and happy nye!!
Last night the temperature suddenly dropped a lot and this morning, when I got out in pajamas from my balcony, to give me a good morning there wasn't the nice warm sun of yesterday, but milky clouds dense of humidity.

While I revised my outfit for tonight, I thought about what kind of makeup look and hairstyle I should realize. About hair I decided to keep them loose, creating soft waves with the curling iron.

About makeup, I want something special, but without exaggerating with the colors of eye shadows, because I want the star of tonight is my new Mac lipstick, then I guess I will opt for nude shades, choosing Strange, from Naked 3, as base of the entire eyelid, and then Darkside and Nooner to blend into the crease. Super black eyeliner, a thin line of cream eye pencil in the lower rim, to enlarge the eye, and lots of mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

On my cheeks the Essence blush in autumn peach, it contains microglitters that give a beautiful highlighting effect; on my temple and chin a few brush strokes of Mosaic face powder from Nyc, just to contour my face. Finally, on my lips, Sin - to applie after a good scrub and a touch of lip balm to avoid any signs and chapping.

What about you? Have you already decided what will be your look for tonight? Tell me everything, I'm so curious!
I leave you with a small and simple DIY, if you want to make your outfit even more special and sparkle! ^ - ^
A big kiss to all and Happy 2016 !!!

A very special day with CoCoMelody dresses

When I was a child going to the hairdresser was a blast for me and one of the things I liked to do, while I patiently waited for my turn, was reading brides magazines: there was always a huge stack on the table of the waiting room, large and heavy books full of wonderful dresses and wedding hairstyles and I watched them ecstatic, imagining the day when I also would have worn a dress like those. At the time, I loved bulky dresses, with puffed sleeves, endless layers of tulle and lace and crystal sequins.
Over the years my tastes are a bit changed but every time I browse a bride magazine or walk past a store of wedding dresses I stop to admire them, figuring what could be the best for me.
Definitely should be a romantic dress - as I am - with a sweetheart neckline, appliques in precious gems and lace details on the gown.

The mermaid silhouette are absolutely my favorites and Cocomelody, one of the leading e-store of wedding dress, has the prettiest models!

Browsing the site, however, the category beach wedding dresses pleasantly impressed me with its clean lines, tulle drapery and delicate lace dresses.

At this point you will be curious to find out what beautiful clothes I'm talking about, so here are my top favorite 2016 wedding dresses

Boxing day: what I got for Christmas

Grazie Ale! :*

E voi? Cos'avete ricevuto per Natale? Come state trascorrendo questi giorni di festa?
Un bacione e.. mangiate tanto! Per la dieta c'è tempo! ;)

The frenzy of the last few days - between various preparations and race for Christmas gifts - is finally passed and now we can relax and enjoy this holidays with the people we love.
I spent the last three days with my boyfriend's family and mine and I enjoyed it so much between lunches, dinners, games, card games and walks through lit streets of my town.
Christmas is a magical time!
Just yesterday I unwrapped the ultimate gift - a very special necklace - and today I want to show you what I received ^ - ^

From my wonderful boyfriend, an amazing coat that I noticed a few days ago at Jennyfer: when I tried it in the store I was in love: it was what I wanted! I really like how it fits me and it's so warm !!! * - *

Also the sister and the mother of my boyfriend are so wonderful and the little packet from Mac that you may saw here, it was right from them! I put in my wishlist "Diva" but  any other Mac lipsticks would be perfect, because I like them all! And "Sin" is even more beautiful than Diva! I love it!

The candle and reed diffusers from Bottega Verde are from my mom and sister: the fragrance is Sweet Christmas, vanilla and spicy scented as I like. In addition, the heart ring holder and these beautiful bells here and there in the picture: they know I'm obsessed with these itmes that I like to put in my posts pictures ^ - ^

That cute pink hearts hot water bottle is perfect for a chilly person like me: I like to put it under the blanket before going to bed and falling asleep with his warmth, trust me it's really relaxing! Thank you aunty! : *

The necklace's pendant contains a lucky pearl. The beauty and uniqueness of this gift is his composition: the kit contained, in addition to the necklace, an oyster in a jar and a small plastic "knife": you have to break the oyster, pull out the pearl and insert it inside the pendant, making a wish. The oyster color matched to a specific meaning and find out the color breaking the shell of the oyster was really fun! Thanks Ale! : *

And you? What have you got for Christmas? How are you spending this holiday season?
A big kiss and.. eat a lot! ;)

My fashion resolutions for 2016

Dicembre passa sempre troppo in fretta! >.<

I can't believe we're already at 20 of December and there are only five days to Christmas! I do still have a lot of things to do and many Christmas posts to publish! December always passes too quickly!  >.<
But that reminds me that even 2015 is about to end and that I have to complete another list ( you know, I live on lists!) maybe the most important, the one that gives you the right enthusiasm to start the new year but then, with the passing of days and months, it's put a little aside, forgotten, ignored, upset, just pulling it out again on December 31 of the following year: I'm speaking about the resolutions list for 2016! But this time I want to make a different list, or better, more detailed and restricted to one area: fashion! So it should be harder to forget!
Here my 5 fashion resolutions for the new year!
1. Focusing of basic items
Basic items are key to a perfect and functional wardrobe, because they can be combined and styled in many different ways to create everyday new glam looks.
The white shirt is an essential as it 's perfectly suited to every occasion: with a long pencil skirt and black pumps, for an elegant outfit; more casual if worn with classic jeans; more formal with a pair of black trousers.
I must have one in my closet!
2. Invest in a nice outerwear
A quality coat is like a diamond: it lasts forever. And, if you choose a classic cut, it will never go out of fashion. That's why I think it is important to spend a little more on a coat like that. This is one of my favorites
3. Rose Quartz
Surely you know that this color will be one of the spring/summer colors for 2016 - at least according to Pantone - and since I LOVE pastel colors I could not leave out it from my list! For the New Year I would like to have in my closet some pieces in this color, maybe a pair of pumps with oversized bows, like these wonderful Ferragamo
4. Suede!
Actually I'm not a big fan of this fabric - at least not concerning clothes & co. - but I really like accessories and a nice suede bag is what I need to be trendy without upsetting my taste. And if the bag is also half moon shaped (which, apparently, will be the trend for next year)  we are on top!
5. Velvetiness touch
I always hoped that the velvet never return to fashion: I find it a heavy fabric and really hard to style and wear. But fashion changes, evolves and reinvents itself, turning a fabric so hard in something modern, fresh and chic. Like this beautifu gold leaf velvet dress from Balmain

P.s. You can find all these wonders at Farfetch, a global community of more than 300 exclusive boutiques!

What about you? What are the pieces that should never miss in our closet for 2016?
xoxo

MY FAVOURITE PARTY DRESSES

In a few days we’ll be ready to celebrate Christmas taking part in family dinners, invitations, parties – and don’t forget the New Year's Eve!
So I made a list (another one, I know)  including five most beautiful party dresses that I could find on Promtimes.
Generally I prefer long dresses (like these), especially for elegant parties or ceremonies, but the short dresses this site offers are really wonderful and their prices are very affordable - here you can even find a wide selection under 50£ (about 75 $)!

The first dress is made of soft satin champagne in color with sweetheart bodice and a lovely bow at the waist. It’ so romantic, definitely my favourite!

The second  is so adorable! With small floral decorations on the bodice and that fluffy skirt I had to put it on the list! You know that I love skirts with abundant layers of tulle and red is the color of the moment, so I find that this dress is perfect for Christmas holydays, myabe styled with a black cape (they are so chic!) and a pair of elegant pumps.

As soon as I saw this dress I fell in love: the gleam of the golden appliques on its bodice and the white tulle skirt recall in my mind the image of a Greek goddess, in all the magnificence of his peplum. I might decide to order it! ^ - ^

Do you know the wonderful  Eliee Saab creations for Spring /Summer 2014? With the transparency of tulle, the glow of its small sequins and uniqueness of lace appliques, this dress reminds me just a few pieces of that collection.

In the end, a breathtaking lace dress, suitable for every ceremony! You can style it with a diamond necklace and a messy updo, to highlight your neck.

What do you think about these clothes? Which would you choose for your New Year's Eve?

Christmas gift guide (under 20 $!) - FOR HER

Questo cofanetto Opi in edizione limitata contiene quattro nuances ispirate all'atmosfera natalizia: Love is in my cards, Guys and Galaxies e le due versioni glitterate Is This Star Taken? e Press * for Silver. Davvero stupende!

You'll think I'm crazy, but I don't really like buying in advance Christmas gifts! It seems that this year the most of Italian people have already finished their Christmas shopping in the first week of December. Actually I love the excitement to find the right gift in the last few days before the 25th. I like to wander around the shops and calmly choose, to watch the bustle of the streets and squares, crowded with people carrying bags and bags and breathe deeply the air of the evening, that smells of pine resin and smoke from fireplaces.

My Christmas wishlist

Abbiamo qualche oggetto in comune? Cosa c'è sulla vostra wishlist?

One of my favourite things to do during the Christmas time is drawing up lists: things to do, gifts to give, likely dishes for Christmas and, of course, the most important, the one you hope your parents/boyfriends/girlfriends/relatives read before the 25th! I'm talking about the Christmas wishlist!
I've put together some of the things I liked more wandering here and there on the internet and that I would love to have! ^ - ^

This year I'm really obsessed with pom poms so when I saw this beautiful and fluffy blanket with these little sweet pom poms on it ...I couldn't resist and I included it in my wishlist! I mean, look at it!
 *-*

I've always related Christmas with red, glittering gold and curled ribbons on gift packages. From the Essie luxeffect collection, Rock at the top is my favourite, I love its sparkling gold glitters and I find it's perfect for a Christmas nail art!

Still pom poms on this beautiful wool beanie in soft pink, to stay warm even outdoor!

Lately I discovered several interesting e-store, like Urban Outfitters, and I can't say the amount of articles that I put in the wishlist! Including this cute mirror with cat ears, it would look so good on my vanity table! ^-^

Americans fill it up with hot coffee and bring it with them in the office, on the subway, on taxi, at the park, pretty everywhere! I definitely would not fill with coffee (italian coffe is so firrent from the American one!) but maybe with cappuccino or tea, or some relaxing herbal tea. This Kate Spade white polka dots thermal mug is so cute! *-* Isn't?

Some of you have so intrigued me with their opinions (and posts!) on this book so now it's on my wishlist! I hope to receive it for Christmas (sister, this message is for you!), but if not I think that I will buy it on my own, because I'm sure that Natale da Chanel is a very amazing story, and it's set in New York!

One of my favorite accessories are watches and lately I'm in love with this beautiful model from Olivia Burton, with large dial and leather strap: essential but very chic!

As you know I'm a very chilly person and I always like to get my feet warm. As my dear fluffy slippers are leaving me, I really have to replace them! I found these cute doggie shaped slippers on Asos, they're so adorable!

Usually I don't like keyrings, but this furry pom poms (faux furry!) really won me! I find it's a refined and chic detail to hang to your bag ^ - ^

I put on my list the beanie, could I forget gloves? These super cute, soft and white (my favorite color) mittens are from Anthropologie, one of the wonderful sites which I mentioned before.

Ok, it's time that I also own a Mac lipstick!! One of my favorite shades at the moment is Diva, a beautiful, deep and matt burgundy!! * - * I wonder if it will be under my Christmas tree this year...

And finally a tulle skirt! I desire this skirt for like two years! It 's so romantic and I find it's perfect for my Christmas outfit, styled with a simple white sweater, and black pumps.

What do you think of my wishlist? What's on your wish list?
xoxo

Decorate with me for Christmas - episode 3 Pillow cases

Buona festa dell'Immacolata a tutti! :*

Christmas is not Christmas without soft, cute and colorful pillows, to be spread here and there on the couch or in your bedroom! For this third diy project I decided to realize two pillow covers, giving a touch of color and verve to some plain white pillowcases.
The process is very simple.
Do you remember that beautiful pillow that I had included in my home wishlist (right here)? Well, since 32 euros seemed a little bit too much for a pillow case, I decided to create a print like that, spending only 3 euros! ;)
All you need is a white pillowcase, a plastic sheet, scissors, a pen, a brush and a fabric paint, that I chose in red color ^-^
  1. I reported the silhouette of a tree on the plastic sheet and I cut out creating a kind of stencil.
  2. I laid the stencil on my pillow and with a brush (or a sponge) I gently dabbed the color onto the fabric, being careful not to move the plastic sheet.
  3. I removed the stencil - adjusting the edges with a thin brush - and I repeated the step on the entire face of the pillow.
For the second pillow I used an old wool sweater.
  1. I put the pillow inside the sweater and I adjusted it to fit perfectly.
  2. I cut off the neck and sleeves
  3. I sewed the two sides together and I'm done!
I find them so beautiful and soft! What do you think about them?
Now I'm going to decorate my tree nay the trees - and the rest of the house of course! : D
What about you? What are your plans for the day? I'm really curious!
Happy 8th of December to everyone! :*

#FallInLove tag - Episodio 6 Fireside

Generalmente non trovo nessun film o programma interessante e quindi me ne salgo in camera mia.

2. Relax in camera

I was so busy with preparations and diy projects for Christmas that once again I delayed the final episode of the #FallInLove tag created by Caffelatteforbreakfast, sorry! :(
This last episode is about fireside, that wonderful furnishing that everyone would like to have at your own home (or at least, I would like!), sitting in front of it and relaxing, maybe with a good book, or simply a Christmas playlist.
Marta asked us what are the things we do before going to sleep, in short, to tell about our night-time routine.
This is how generally I spend my evenings at home.

1. Deciding if there is something amazing on TV
Generally I don't find any interesting movie or program so I go up to my room.
Except Tuesdays and Thursdays, when there are new episodes of "I misteri di Laura" and "E' arrivata la felicità"- two Italian sitcoms -  and I like to watch them with my parents, maybe grabbing some sweet treats between commercials.
2. Relax at my room
After turning on my dear fairy lights around the bed and put my favourite Christmas tart (Red apple wreath) on wax warmer, with a cup of hot karkadé in my hands, I turn on my laptop and I start to look around on my favorite blogs, or I watch my favorite Youtubers - LeSassafras and HeartTv at the moment, with their daily vlogmas - or knitting tutorial: I'm obsessed with a wool pom poms hat that I definitely want to make! ^-^
3. Skin care
When my eyes begin to burn and tear I understand it's time to turn off everything.
So I start my skin-care night routine. First, I take a warm, relaxing shower and then immediately apply moisturizer on legs and arms all over my body. At this point I'm shaking with cold, so I quickly put on my pajamas (I previously put it on a radiator to heat up) and slippers.
I brush my teeth and rinse my face with cleanser. I apply the moisturizer with a little massage and then I put a few drops of almond oil on my lips, like a lip balm. It seems more effective than any other lip balm.
4. Good night
I blow out candles, I put my head under the duvet and, before falling asleep, I thank God with a little prayer.

Well, now this last episode is completed so I send a big kiss to Marta who has been able to keep us entertained for all these weeks and also to all of you!
See you on Tuesday with a new diy Christmas project!!

Decorate with me for Christmas #Ep. 2

Fatemi sapere!

One of my favourite Christmas things are fairy lights. Every year I buy new ones and I enjoy placing them around the tree, in the middle of the Nativity scene or along the windows. They bring joy with their colors and their play of light, it's like they make everything so warm and cozy.
That's why I decided to make them protagonists of this second Christmas project.
It think it could be a beautiful decoration to place anywhere in your house, because these fairy lights works with batteries so they don't require any wall socket.
To realize these light up letters is very simple: all you need is just a piece of polystyrene (you can ask at appliance stores, they should have it and they will give it for free!), glue, a cutter, glitters, acrylic paints and, of course, fairy lights!

HOW TO DO

  1. Cut out letters from polystyrene (I chose the word "Natale" (it means Christmas, in Italian) but you can choose any other Christmas or funny word) and paint them as you like - I painted the letters N, T and L with the golden color and I brushed the others with glue; I poured over a generous sprinkling of white glitters and I let them dry. Then I removed the excess glitter.
  2. Realize with a pencil some holes in the letters where you want to place the lights.
  3. Cut out a thin rectangle from a cardboard (parcels kind, it's more solid), and glue the letters over it with hot glue.
  4. Put the lights bulbs through the holes and that'all!

I find it's perfect on the table in the living room, to welcome guests with a cheerful phrase, or you can place it on the mantelshelf, or on your desk ^-^

Do you like this second Christmas project? Let me know!

Decorate with me for Christmas #Ep.1

This morning I woke up early, unusually early..Something would not let me sleep and it strangely pushed me to leave the soothing warmth of my bed. So wrapped up in my blanket, I got up and peered out the window, hoping at least the weather was nice. The first thing that I was completely and permanently awakened was the air: cold, biting and with the delicious smell of smoke, fireplaces and wet bark. Luckily the sun was shining, I love the sun! Then I recognised the feeling that woke me up: today is the first of December!! And that means Christmas!! And that means Christmas posts! *-*
Finally I can start thinking about decorations! Actually I started thinking about them since summer, but now I can make them! And I can share my work with you!
For the first project I planned to make something to intoduce us into the Christmas mood and to drive us for the next 24 days..I know that many of you love it so I thought it could be also a very nice gift idea...of course I'm talking about an Advent Calendar!
It's very simple to realize it! All you need is: a picture frame, cord, colorful card and tissue paper!

HOW TO DO

  1. I removed the glass from the frame and I stuck two pieces of cord over it with the hot glue, creating two horizontal rows.
  2. With tissue paper (I chose two colors, red and white) and scotch tape I create small bags and I drilled them at the top.
  3. I cut out little stars from card and I numbered them using a golden pen (from 1 to 25).
  4. With a punching I created a hole in the upper part of each star and I tied it to the bag passing the string through the two holes, creating a small bow.

Now just hang the bags on the string (you can use colorful small clips or simply tie them with ribbons) and fill them!
You can fill with little gift, chocolates, candies, homemade treats, sweet quotes or, if you decide to give it to someone, you can put inside some activities ideas to do together in these time (eg. Go and choose the Christmas tree, a walk through the Christmas markets, play bingo, etc).
If you don't have the picture frame, you can also arrange the little packets in a pretty box or a basket, as I did. It will be fun to find the package corresponding to the day and unwrap it!

So, what do you think about this project? Did you enjoy this first Christmas diy?
Happy December to everyone and see you on Friday for the next project!
xoxo
